I love dystopian novels because they are an excellent format for exploring real world problems/issues/situations in a "safe" way. These novels function on many levels; I read them for both an escape and because they make me think.

PS: I am so excited to hear you will be finishing the Contributor trilogy soon!!!! Excellent series--I can't wait to see what happens :).

I have similar reasons for both loving to read and loving to write dystopian novels! I thinks by exaggerating a current problem, such books help me examine the problem from a variety of angles and consider the impacts they have on many different types of people.

And thanks for your flattering comment on Contributor! I was working on the manuscript for book three today and I'm super excited about it. I can hardly wait to share it with readers!
